About our practice

Formed in 2006, A Squared Architects is an award winning architectural practice that provides high quality design services for both commercial and residential projects throughout East Anglia.

After first meeting and collaborating together in 2002 within the architectural consultancy of Savills PLC, Mark and Rob were fortunate to be able to work within such a large, multi-disciplinary team on a number of high profile and distinguished projects around the UK. This experience, together with the client list they had established at Savills and the trusted consultants and contractors they had met during that time, gave them the foundations to establish their own practice – A Squared Architects – at the end of 2006.

As a RIBA chartered practice, we offer services across the RIBA work stages from inception, all the way through the project’s life cycle to final completion and handover.

We are able to offer a range of services that include:

• Listed building and conservation area applications

• Technical design and building regulations

• Project management and contract administration

Mark and Rob are passionate about architecture and are dedicated to providing quality services that meet our client’s needs and expectations. We firmly believe that good design should be accessible to everyone, and we constantly strive to create design solutions that are both functional and beautiful. Our commitment also extends to promoting the importance of sustainable and energy efficient architecture that is responsive to the technical, aesthetic and budgetary expectations of our clients. As we all move towards a net zero society, architecture and design is also responding to the challenges. As a practice, we have extensive experience of incorporating renewable materials, technologies and systems into our projects, thereby decarbonising and reducing running costs for our clients through thoughtful design.
